DOIS (Direct Offer Integration System) is a customizable platform developed by EPCVIP to optimize lead-generation campaigns in real time. It’s designed to maximize EPC (Earnings Per Click) by intelligently managing traffic, targeting, and creative performance. This project focused on streamlining the campaign creation flow within DOIS to save time and reduce errors. The existing process included several redundant steps, and the user interface made it easy to make mistakes—highlighting the need for a more efficient, user-friendly experience.

The Challenge

The challenge was to understand the current experience and create a smoother, more user-friendly experience while maintaining all the backend logic for campaign creation and ensuring that all relevant information would be used for the new version and available to the user.

Process

  1. Understanding the current campaign creation flow: We conducted a deep dive to identify the essential requirements for campaign creation and determine which elements could be removed or simplified.

  2. Mapping the journey: We ran multiple sessions with stakeholders and platform users to define the optimal sequence of steps in the campaign creation process.

  3. Creating concepts for validation: We developed and tested design concepts to validate our approach and gather feedback.

  4. Technical and visual refinement: We collaborated closely with the team to fine-tune both the technical implementation and the visual design.

Solution

The new experience was designed with the user in mind, without affecting the backend data logic. Our goal was to deliver a first step toward a simpler version of the system.

To achieve this, we decided to run an A/B test with both the current and the new version. This way, users can provide feedback on the new structure, as it requires a learning curve for Lenders to understand and use it effectively.

Outcome

The project is currently in the development phase, so we don’t have real-world results yet.

However, during user testing, it became clear that we significantly reduced cognitive load by showing only what’s necessary for users to complete the campaign creation process. This approach improves efficiency and helps drive higher revenue by minimizing the risk of significant errors.
